Buying Universal Beijing Resort tickets is not like buying tickets for Beijing’s historic sights: the price changes with the date, and paying with a foreign card is where most visitors get stuck. Below: how to buy as a foreign visitor, what the Express pass is, and how to get there.
How to buy tickets
- Choose your date first. The admission price depends on the date you choose, so check the price for your exact day.
- Choose where to buy. The official Universal Beijing Resort app has an English setting, but travellers report that it often refuses foreign bank cards; third-party platforms accept foreign cards.
- Enter each visitor’s passport details exactly as printed. Tickets are booked with each visitor’s passport details, and the passport is scanned at the gate, so bring the one you booked with.
- Add Express only if you need it. The Universal Express pass is an add-on: it does not include park admission, so you also need a ticket for the same date.
